Pizza Rating: 5/5 Stars
John’s of Bleeker uses a coal-fired oven to make their pizzas. They’ve been doing this since 1928 and even got special permission from New York City to continue using it in this modern day.
We were seated after a short wait, and were we hungry! Jake and I were so hungry in fact that we didn’t say a word to eachother the entire time we ate this pizza. It was delicious, well-deserved silence after many hours of traveling to New York City. Note that they only serve whole pizzas and you can’t order by the slice.
We ordered a large cheese pizza, and it lived up to the hype. Great cheese to sauce ratio. The crust is slightly chewy but also slightly crunchy. An iconic New York City pizza.
